Saudi Arabia has withdrawn from the China-led mBridge digital currency initiative aimed at developing alternative payment systems to the US dollar, the Financial Times reported on Sunday.

据《金融时报》周日报道，沙特阿拉伯已退出由中国主导的 mBridge 数字货币计划，该计划旨在开发美元的替代支付系统。

沙特中央银行向该报证实，在完成计划中的概念验证阶段（2025 年 5 月）后，它不再是参与成员。沙特金融管理局（SAMA）最初于 2023 年以观察员身份加入，之后于 2024 年参与了试点运营。

基于区块链的平台使中央银行能够直接使用其本地数字货币进行交易，绕过 Swift 等美元清算中间系统。
